New introductions of ceiling fans for this year, 2016, offer many upgrades that home owners have been waiting for. Customers have been asking for fans with lights, LED lights, the ability to put stainless steel finishes outdoors, large diameter fans, and even remote control from your phone! Let's take a look at some of these new lineups.

Fanimation brings us the latest technology with Bluetooth enabled fans. Many of their fans are now FanSync included or compatible. FanSync is a new app that can be downloaded to your phone and you can control your ceiling fan from your phone. The Xeno fan (above in black) which comes in dark bronze or brushed nickel includes FanSync and a bluetooth enabled remote. The Spitfire (above in brushed nickel with natural wood blades), which is an attractive modernly rustic fan comes in five finishes and with six blade options, also includes FanSync.
Previously it was difficult to put the more modern finish, brushed nickel or stainless steel, outdoors. Manufacturers have recognized the demand for this and now fans such as the Donaire which includes a light and comes brushed nickel, can be put in outdoor wet locations. The Eliza hugger, Subtle, Odyn, Levon DC, Xeno and Spitfire all can be out on covered patios and are available in the nickel finish.

Large diameter fans such as the Odyn 84" fan (above in brushed nickel) now come in several more finishes and there is the Subtle 72" ceiling fan.
The Spitfire, Donaire, Zeno, Subtle, Levon AC, Odyn all include light kits and many can be covered with optional no light cover plates for a more streamlined look if a light is not necessary.
These new fans are aim to please with the added features and beautiful contemporary styling! Now might be just the right time to update an older model.
